Grocery Shopping Guide - Product Listing

The product list is where the real shopping usually takes place. This page has the same Header and Footer as the Main Index, as well as either the products on the shelf you selected or the results of a search shown in batches of twenty-five in the product display section.

The Product Display Section:

All products have the same basic layout. If you want to buy something, enter the quantity in the box (or leave it at one if that's all you want) then click on the "add to cart" button. This will put the item(s) into your shopping cart for you to purchase.

Don't panic if it looks like you have to start back at the top of the page every time you add to the cart, as soon as the product you added is loaded on the page, you will be taken directly to it.

It's no problem if you put too many or too few items in your cart or even the wrong item. You can always remove items from your cart without having to worry about putting them on the wrong shelf or add more of an item without going back to look for it.

Finally, you can add something to your Quick List to make it easier to find next time by clicking on "add to Quick List".

That's all there is to it for most items.

Some product listings have special options - different colours, weights, flavours etc. that are available. For these items, there will be an option box show above the "add to Quick List" button as shown below

This drop-down box is used to select the special option for items you add to your cart. This example shows an option that commonly causes confusion - if the price is Per Kg, why does it seem as though there are two places to enter a number of kilograms. The answer is simply that the amount you type in is the number of packages you want - not the number of kilograms you want. So if you want three lbs of lean ground beef, you could select one package of three kilograms as shown below:

Or for easier freezing, two packages of one and a half kilograms like this:

Once you've added all your groceries to your cart, you are almost ready to check out. Just click on View Cart in either the Header or Footer and you will be taken to your cart to make sure that you have everything you need and proceed to the checkout.
