Grocery
Shopping Guide The Cart Your Shopping Cart is just what it sounds like - your shopping cart. Anything you have in your cart will be delivered to you after you complete your order. It's that simple. The cart screen however has a few more options than the cart you use in conventional grocery stores. In addition to The Header and Footer that you are used to by now, there is the Cart Display Area which shows how many of what you have in your cart. When you first click "View Cart", you are taken to the main cart screen which looks like this:
This shows how many of the item are in your cart, the image, the description, the price for one of this item, any special options, and the price for all of these items that are in your cart. At the bottom of this list, the taxes are shown along with the grand total - this is approximately what you will be billed for this order. What do I mean by "approximately"? Well, exact prices can be hard to come by sometimes. If you order two 1.5 Kg packages of ground beef for example, they are probably not going to be exactly 1.5 Kg each. One might be 1.466 Kg and the other 1.523 Kg. Rather than bill you in advance the price for 3 Kg of beef when you are only getting 2.989 Kg, we will bill you for 2.989 Kg when we deliver it to your home. At the bottom of the cart display area, you'll notice four buttons. Edit Quantity and Remove Items are used to modiy what's in your cart, Continue Shopping returns you to the Main Shopping Index and Complete Order takes you to the checkout where you enter your delivery information. Clicking on this button takes you back to the Main Shopping Index where you can continue adding items to your cart. Clicking on this button brings up another page that allows you to change the quantity of each item you have in your cart. Listing all items currently in you cart along with the current quantity and a box to type in a new quantity.
Just type in the new quantity of the item you want in your cart for all items you want to change and leave the box empty for the ones you want to leave as is, and click "Edit Quantity" again. The quantity is not changed unless you click this button. If you select a link in the Header or Footer or click on the Continue Shopping button, no changes will be made to the quantities in your cart. When you click on "Edit Quantity", your cart is updated and you are taken back to the cart display screen. When you click the "Remove Items" button, you are taken to another view of your cart that has a checkbox beside each item currently in your cart.
To remove an item, just click the checkbox beside the items you want to remove and click "Remove Items" again. The items are not removed until you do. If you select a link in the Header or Footer or click on the Continue Shopping button, no items will be removed from your cart. When you click on "Remove Items", your cart is updated and you are taken back to the cart display screen. |
